getting it ready to go in the oven. Hard to believe but when it comes out it will be a delicious chocolate cake
and a cheese cake
Since its Shavout, we also made a cheese cake (and blinches but they are not in the picture)
Decorating the cheese cake
Matar chose pink icing so mixing strawberries with whipped cream and a little bit of honey made the perfect icing
the snack table
who said birthday snacks cant be yummy, appropriate for Shavuot, and healthy all at the same time?
sprouted corn organic goat cheese casadillas, whole wheat blinches with goat cream cheese and agave stuffing, fruits, veggies, and home made blueberry and honey sauce. YUMMY!

For this birthday we asked everyone to bring a gift Matar could share and the kids could play with together at the party. Bahiya brought a pack of play-dough
This was so great as the kids played until it was time to go home, shared really nicely, and had lots of fun!

A solar eclipse
The other day there was a solar eclipse and we drove out to Wupatki NM to watch it. It was an amazing afternoon!
Hanging out waiting for the eclipse
and looking down on all the people who didnt want to take the time and hike up. The view from up here was so worth it!
It was hard to get shots of the actual eclipse but we were able to get a beautiful one of the sun and the Peaks as the sky got dark
